Fall Break...so far

So I know it's been a really long time since I last posted, but I've decided to try this whole blogging thing again...

It is Fall Break! Yay! I spent the first two mornings at the dentist office but I was still bound and determined to have some fun. On Thursday we went down to the splash pad on Main street. It was so cold but didn't bother Addisen at all. We still had to drag her out of the water to go home.
On Friday I picked Addie up after the dentist and we went shopping, and to the public library for Toddler Time. It was fun they read books, sang songs, and colored a picture. After we got out of the library Addie took off running across the field to the carousel. We had been there the weekend before and she must have remembered. She was determined to ride the horses. She kept running around the outside saying "horsies ride it" until the nice lady gave Addie a free ticket to get on the carousel. (I had lost my wallet the night before so I didn't have any money with me, and I was being very unsuccessful at convincing Addie that we would come back.) Addisen was so happy! She said "weeee" for most of the ride. Silly little girl.
Today when Patt gets off work I think we will head out to Staheli Farm to see the real horses. I'll post pictures of our next Fall Break adventure soon...

Our Little Monkey!

This kid loves bananas! I try to cut them up for her but she really likes to hold it and eat it out of the peel. She is getting so independent. She loves to run and go to the park. She is constantly on the move. She waves hello and goodbye. Her first word was up, but now she also says doggie, Em, Grandpa, Grammy, mom, daddy, ball, open, hi, apple, and car. She loves the dogs and gives them more kisses than anyone else. She is very smart, understands a lot, and is constantly figuring things out. We love her very much!

How Old Are You?

Shoes

Addie has loved shoes ever since she could roll over and grab them, but now she loves to wear them and walk around. She puts on my shoes and Patt's slippers and recently found Aunt Emily's high heels. I was amazed at how well she was able to walk in them. She is growing up way too fast!

Life Is Good!

I walked into school yesterday, and a friend of mine on the 4th grade team surprised me with these cute little jammies for Addisen. I walked into Addie's room this morning and she was kicked back just snoozin' and relaxing. I thought it was appropriate for the pajamas she was wearing.

Addisen is 1 Year Old

I can't believe my little girl is one year old. She is getting so big and so independent. She is walking all over the place and has been since about the 12th of September. She waves hello/goodbye and blows kisses. She gives kisses if she is in the mood, but is a little bit stingy with them. She still loves her little taggie/minkie blanket and all of her stuffed animals. She is very smart and will follow simple commands. She is still very good natured and not many things upset her. She gets really silly when she is tired and will laugh at just about anything. On her birthday she had 7 teeth (4 on top and 3 on the bottom) but the 8th tooth just poked through on the bottom. She has just about everyone wrapped around her little finger, and I can't imagine what we would do without her and her cute personality. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that she has been an absolutely delightful baby. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old, and I can only think of 2 times when she hasn't. She has been a great nurser and loves eating all different kinds of food. She has only had one little cold, and other than that has been extremely healthy. She has started developing a little bit more of an attitude, but honestly I can't complain about her at all. We love you Miss Addisen...Happy 1st Birthday!

9 months

Wow, I can't believe that Addisen is 9 months old today. She is growing up so fast! I am very thankful for the time I have been getting to spend with her this summer. We are having so much fun!

A few things about Addisen at 9 months:

* She has two little bottom teeth. She likes to use them like a bottle opener and pop the lids off of things like puffs. This is also how she opens her lotion bottle. The other night she was opening her lotion bottle and I was pushing it closed. Pretty soon she was opening it and then trying to push it closed on her own.

* She is very strong. She has quite the grip, and she is able sit up when she is laying on her back. She has very strong ab muscles.

* She is coordinated. She is good with her hands and has been for awhile. She can move objects back and forth and spin them around. She is really good at picking up puffs with two fingers and feeding herself.

* She is smart and figures things out relatively quickly.

* She is crawling all over the place! She started army crawling really good around the 25th of May. Then when we went to visit Stacie's family she started getting up on her knees. Once we got back home she figured it out and has been crawling up a storm ever since. She also pulls herself up onto furniture. A couple of Sundays ago while at my parent's house we watched her learn how to go from crawling to sitting up. It is so much fun to watch her learn new things.

* She still loves water and bath time.

*She has started to copy people. If I stick out my tongue, she will stick out hers. She is also learning how to wave "hi" and "bye."

* She crinkles up her nose and makes cute little huffing noises.

* She loves things with buttons. For example, phones, calculators, remote controls etc. She also loves anything that is not a toy such as grandma and grandpa's glasses, cords, shoes, and chasing after the dogs...especially Freckles!

We love her very much and we are so happy that she is part of our family! She definitely makes our lives more exciting and fun.
