Patt and I heard about “Staycations” on Sunday Morning with Bill Geist and thought it would be a fun idea to try. What is a “staycation” you ask??? It is a vacation that is spent at one's home enjoying all that home and one's home environment has to offer. With the price of gas soaring…staycations are the new thing to try. You can also visit sights and destinations that are close to your home, and it is amazing the hidden gems you can find, even when you are close to home. We had a great time on our staycation. We made fruit smoothies, played island music, dressed the part, and even played a little badminton. Now nothing is better than a real vacation, but staycations can be quite enjoyable and relaxing. The key to a great staycation is to take lots of photos and enjoy the time spent together. Here are a few pics from our Island themed staycation!

I want to Staycation with you...but that would be a vacation for me so not really a staycation at all...oh this is all so confusing. Any way we do it one of us will have to be on vacation. This is all just crazy talk...but it looks fun none the less.
